"Students in the sixth form are progressing well. They value the academic and pastoral support they receive from staff and are loyal towards the school."
Ofsted 2018
Students and their progress will be monitored on a variety of levels and can expect support from their tutor, not only on an academic level, but also within a pastoral role.
Sixth Form students can choose either A Levels and/or BTECs in a wide range of ‘real’ subjects, which will benefit them whether they choose to go on to University or into the work place.
"More students are now also staying on to complete their courses and all students go on to further education, training and employment. Students receive high-quality information, advice and guidance in order to make informed, appropriate decisions about their next steps.."

A distinctive addition to our Sixth Form, is that of a Bourne Ambassador, who is a member of the wider business community and who advises students on how to present themselves; they offer self-confidence tips and offer their experience and expertise to successfully negotiate a route into Higher Education or employment. The Bourne Ambassador programme is a pioneering and effective project which pairs up each Sixth Former with a local business expert for two years of mentoring throughout the A Level course. These industry leaders are able to offer advice on many levels and their experience is invaluable.
The Sixth Form centre is solely for the use of Sixth Form students and is a place for socialising and work. The light and airy rooms house their very own kitchen, relaxation area with television and study area. However, many Academy rules still apply to Sixth Form students.
