New Principal appointed to The Bourne Academy

Mr Avoth has been Principal of Avon Valley College, near Salisbury, for four years, leading it through a period of sustained improvement, as recognised in their recent Ofsted inspection.  Governors believe that he will be a very worthy successor to Jackie Steel.

As an Associate of the Partners in Excellence Club, he has visited The Bourne Academy regularly and knows it well.  Mr Avoth says: "I have been impressed by the staff and students on all my visits, and feel that the Academy's ethos and approach match my own.  This is an exciting time in the Academy's history and I look forward to being part of it".
