On Remembrance Day, Staff and students at The Bourne Academy remembered those who had lost their lives in military combat along with the rest of the country.

The Bourne Academy was delighted to welcome the Lord Lieutenant Angus Campbell on site together with two senior representatives from the Dorset Community Foundation.
This year, the Academy entered two teams in to the Lords Taverners Dorset Boccia Competition and finished second in Dorset behind Victoria School, coming away with silver medals.
After several visits by the Maasai Warriors, the Academy has chosen to support their Kenyan Community School, The Osiligi Obaya Primary School, in becoming an offical long term partner.
Professor Mark Sims, professor in Astrobiology and Space Instrumentation visited the Academy to give a lecture and Q&A session in 'What Can Science Offer You." to students studying the subject in GCSE and A Level.
The Bourne Academy is delighted to announce another outstanding set of examination results, both in terms of grades and levels of progress.
For the second year running, 100% Academy 6th Form students have achieved A*-E grades in their A Level exams and 100% of BTEC students gained Pass rates.
Students, parents/carers and staff celebrated together at the recent Performing Arts Awards evening.
Students from The Bourne Academy recently competed against other young students from across the country in the Grand Finals of the Ryman National Enterprise Challenge.
The Bourne Academy was proud to welcome Great Britain's first Olympic Ski Jumper, Michael 'Eddie The Eagle' Edwards.
