Academy in top 3 National Enterprise Chellenge
Students from The Bourne Academy recently competed against other young students from across the country in the Grand Finals of the Ryman National Enterprise Challenge.
We are very proud to announce that The Bourne Academy beat 170 schools from across the country and was in the final three for 'Most Enterprising School' - a testament to the great business links the Academy has and the opportunities our students have to interact with local and national employers throughout their school experience.
The 2016 challenges saw the Academy's Year 10 students tasked with creating the ultimate school-based business, inspired by current ambassador Theo Paphitis (Dragon's Den). The Academy's winning team 'Shiparoo' received excellent feedback for their professionalism and exciting presentation. The students had a great experience pitching to industry experts and hearing advice from Theo Paphitis and guest speaker Eddie the Eagle, a recent visitor to the Academy.
