Iceland visit
During half term, students and staff from the Science department had the opportunity to explore one of the world's most unkique and diverse countries, Iceland.
The three day trip included visiting many different locations, including a volcano, a glacier and waterfalls. Students also watched the sun rise over the Gullfoss Waterful before witnessing the Strokkur Geysir eruptions. The adventurous group then travelled down from the Eurasian Plate, across no-man's land and through a fissure up the front of the American Plate. They finished the trek with a soak in the Blue Lagoon, despite being a 65pmh blizzard and minus 5 degrees outside, the 37 degree warmth of the pool soon made up for it!
