Bourne Academy Delighted with 2024 GCSE and Vocational Results
The Bourne Academy, an all ability state-funded secondary Academy established by its sponsor Canford School in 2010, is delighted to announce another excellent set of examination results, both in terms of attainment grades and levels of progress achieved.
Mark Avoth, Principal, said “It is important to bear in mind that despite examinations being sat as “normal” this year, the reality is that our Year 11 students have had a very disrupted learning journey. However, despite these challenges, our students have shown enormous determination and resilience and it has been a pleasure to see students this morning as they came into the Academy to collect their results. Congratulations to all the students who have been successful in progressing to the next stage of their life journey, many of whom will study in our Sixth Form. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank to their teachers who have worked very hard to support them.”
Specific Successes:
Congratulations to the following students:
- Maya Michalak who achieved 5 grade 9’s, 1 Distinction and 1 grade 7
